Vinification: The grapes are harvested from vineyards with soils that are mainly decomposed granite and glenrosa. The vines are in natural balance, giving a low yield of 7 tons per hectare to enhance fruit complexity.
Tasting Notes:Deep garnet with ruby rim. Red berries, chocolate and cassis on the nose. Palate is grippy, dry and lengthy. Drinks like a Bordeaux-blend with some spice from the Mourvèdre. Drink now or keep for a few more years.
Food Pairing:Pair with dishes such as flame grilled rump steak, spicy vension, beef casserole or braaied skidpaadjies.
